Meet Rachel – Founder & Lead Designer at Stems NH

Rachel’s path to floral design began unexpectedly during a years-long healing journey with late-stage Lyme disease. What started as quiet visits to a neighborhood flower shop became a source of comfort, creativity, and eventually, purpose.

With a background in fashion and textiles, including formal study at FIT, where interior design quickly became a favorite elective, Rachel has always been drawn to the way color, texture, and movement shape how we experience space. Her understanding of materials, layering, and composition informs every design, whether she’s building a floral installation or guiding a home through a seasonal reset.

Today, she creates florals that feel emotional, artful, and deeply connected to each client’s story. Her work is rooted in an intuitive understanding of color relationships, tactile balance, and visual flow — the same principles that make a space feel grounded, elevated, and alive.

With a deep respect for seasonality and place, Rachel prioritizes thoughtful sourcing and lasting design choices, favoring local, reusable, and low-waste elements whenever possible. Flowers played a meaningful role in her healing, and they remain at the heart of Stems NH. Through florals and interior styling alike, her work is about more than beauty; it’s about creating environments that feel intentional, restorative, and deeply personal.

Meet Patty — Color, Flow & Seasonal Balance

Patricia is the organizer and creative force behind the scenes at Stems NH, grounding every project with intention, clarity, and an exceptional understanding of color.

With over 30 years as a Master Colorist and Educator with Goldwell USA, Patricia spent decades teaching color theory, application, and advanced techniques to hairstylists across the East Coast. That experience translates seamlessly into interior styling and seasonal work where tone, balance, and timing matter just as much as beauty.

Her deep knowledge of color allows her to guide seasonal transitions with nuance: knowing when a space needs warmth versus lightness, contrast versus calm, richness versus restraint. She understands how small shifts in palette, texture, and saturation can completely change how a room feels without requiring a full redesign.

In both floral and interior styling, Patricia’s intuitive eye helps ensure each space feels cohesive from room to room and aligned with the season you’re entering. From layered textiles and botanicals to edited palettes and thoughtful details, her approach creates homes that feel intentional, lived-in, and in rhythm with the year's natural cycle.
